“The Night Creeper is the new album by Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats. Contained within are ten tracks of the type of sonic psyche-frazzling heaviness and blood-drenched pop that have made Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats one of Britains great cult bands.
Recorded at Toe Rag studios in early 2015 with engineer Liam Watson (White Stripes, Tame Impala, Electric Wizard), their fourth opus The Night Creeper, finds the quartet in full-on deatripping, third eye-widening mode. Here songs ooze louche evil over flesh-melting riffs that creep like hot magma bubbling up through the earths crust at their own malevolent pace. This album is in no hurry to destroy you. But it will. It will.
In an age when the word is over-used, Uncle Acid are indeed a true cult. Everything they do is covert, their movements crepuscular, the loyalty they inspire fervent. Every sneering melody and every piece of artwork is loaded with meaning, designed to be pored over. Their press coverage is deliberately limited but doesnt prevent them selling out US tours or joining Black Sabbath at their personal request. They only reveal what they want to reveal: chiefly that Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats began as a studio project circa 2009 in Cambridge, the wild concept of Kevin Starrs. The rest is academic.
And now comes The Night Creeper, Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats darkest journey yet.

“In the form of “The Hunt”, Swedish riff gods GRAND MAGUS report back impressively! With their sixth studio album and likewise Nuclear Blast debut, the metal purists manage to better their highly celebrated 2010 masterpiece “Hammer Of The North” easily. The trio from Stockholm has always consequently sticked to its own path of evolution without ever leaving behind the gathered experiences – they’ve never casted off their early days’ pumping groove nor their love for epic doom or extreme metal. These trademarks are now being paired with traditional riffs and melodies that rock in the same qualitative league as Judas Priest or Dio have. “The Hunt” was produced by Nico Elgstrand, who managed to put an authentic 70s mark on the record. The guitars roar, the rhythm front around the new drummer Ludwig (Spiritual Beggars and others) grooves as hell and JB outgrows himself as far as the vocals are concerned. Thus, the trio has created a phenomenal and impressive heavy metal opus! GRAND MAGUS was founded by JB Christofferson (vocals/guitars) and Mats “Fox” Skinner (bass) in 1996. Two years later, Fredrik “Trisse” Liefvendahl joined them on the drums and the combo released two demos. In November of 2001 the self-titled debut album – obviously inspired by the late creative period of bands such as Black Sabbath or Deep Purple – was put on the European and US market. “Monument” (2003) and “Wolf’s Return” (2003) followed and could reap rave reviews in the press. In the course of this, the guys refined their style and distinctly started turning to stronger metal influences without denying their roots. With “Iron Will” (2008) the trio gained perfect scores in the specialist press again and was able to win the Metal Hammer Germany sound check. The Swedes’ latest output “Hammer Of The North” turned out to become a milestone within the band history. Once more the heavy metal heroes were overwhelmed with lavish praise and won the sound checks of both German Rock Hard and Metal Hammer magazines. Furthermore, the record vaulted the band to rank 42 of the German album charts. Now the Scandinavians go the extra mile with “The Hunt”. In May, the motto will be: Break cover, go in and win – the wolves are back!”

“We present you the brand new Swallow the Sun album on vinyl. It consists of ten tracks spread over two 12 inch wax platters, which we have then slid into a gatefold jacket. There are two options for you to consider: a transparent green vinyl version, which is limited to 400 copies and a more exclusive white vinyl version.

“I found myself listening to an old Finnish lullaby called ‘Sininen Uni’ over and over again, and suddenly images started pouring into my mind of a dad reading a tale to his dying child, trying to explain where the child is going that night, the tale of Emerald Forest and the Blackbird,” says Juha Raivio, the main songwriter.

“Finally this image lead me into a long journey through this night and got me trapped in the limbo between the dusk and the dawn. The place where you face your demons and angels, meet the souls of the ones you loved and lost. Will we walk the night forever, or let the night forgive us and let us say a last goodbye? These are songs from the limbo, notes of sorrow, hate, love, darkness and light. The tale of Emerald Forest and the Blackbird.”

We are extremely honoured to have Anette Olzon of NIGHTWISH featuring on vocals on CATHEDRAL WALLS. Her recognizable voice gives the song the depth and the angelic character it demands.

“When I got to listen to the rough demo of ‘Cathedral Walls’ I fell in love with the song immediately and I was so honoured to be asked to sing on this song. The melody and lyrics are truly beautiful.”, comments Olzon.

In addition, Aleah Stanbridge of TREES OF ETERNITY – whose ethereal voice is familiar from our previous works – is also featured on two tracks.

The album was recorded during September and October 2011 by the legendary Mikko Karmila (Nightwish, Amorphis and Children of Bodom, to name a few) at Drumforest Studios in Viitasaari and Sonic Pump 2 in Helsinki, and by Hannu Honkonen at Noisework Studios in Helsinki.”
